Thora Birch

Thora Birch (born March 11 1982) is an American producer and actress. In 1988 she made her film debut in the film Purple People Eater. For this role, she received the Young Artist Award as "Best Young Actress Under nine years old". Birch became a star as a child star as she appeared in films like All I Want for Christmas (1991), Patriot Games (92), Hocus Pocus (93), Monkey Trouble (1994), Now and Then (1995) and Alaska (1996). In 1999 she was nominated to receive an BAFTA nomination. The following year, she was a part-time actress in Ghost World (2001) as Enid. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. Birch received an Emmy Award for her performance in Homeless to Harvard The Liz Murray Story in 2003. Birch has also been a part of Dungeons & Dragons (2000) and The Hole (2001), Silver City (2004) and Dark Corners (2006). She was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2003. Birch also played the role of Whisperer Maryand Gamma on The Walking Dead's Season 10. Birch the eldest of Jack Birch's son was born in Los Angeles. Birch was born in Los Angeles, and her family's ancestral surname was Biersch and is German-Jewish, Scandinavian, French-Canadian and Italian origins. [6] Her name, Thora, originates from the Norse god of lightning and thunder "Thor" that would be her name had she been a boy. Kian Bolt Birch is her younger brother. Both of her parents have been actors in adult films , and also appeared in Deep Throat. Because of their own experiences in the entertainment field and their own experience, they were hesitant initially to promote Thora. However, Thora's photograph was viewed by agents after a babysitter saw her imitation commercials. Her first break came at age four after her babysitter brought her to auditions for the Quaker Oats commercial.
