Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born on November 8 the 8th of November, 1985) is a Canadian actress from Canada. She is most famous for her roles in the role of Andy Jensen on the ABC Family series Kyle XY, as Lacy Rand on the short-lived Syfy science fiction drama series Caprica and as Emily (born Maya Hartwell) on the science fiction series Continuum. She also appeared in the Netflix thriller series You as Sandy. Apanowicz is Polish and lived in Poland for a time during her ninth grade. She was brought up by her uncle, and she attended Jelenia Gora school. She went on to study at Vancouver Film School. When her brother introduced her to the Pulp Fiction, she became attracted to acting. She started her acting career in 2002 when she appeared in Jeremiah and John Doe. In 2007-2009 she portrayed Andy Jensen in Kyle XY. In 2008, she appeared in the Hallmark Channel original movie Every Second Counts.In 2009, Apanowicz was cast as Lacy Rand who was a regular in the telenovela Caprica featuring Eric Stoltz and Alessandra Torresani. Later, she appeared in Hellcats. In 2012, she was the guest star on Jane Espenson's second season of the web-based Husbands, a romantic comedy. In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the series Continuum. She was also Samantha in The Green Inferno horror film written by Eli Roth. The Green Inferno, although it was shot in 2012, was released globally in the year 2015. Apanowicz was cast to as Angela in Volition, a science fiction thriller film. It was released in 2020. In 2019, Apanowicz played the character of Sandy in the second season of Netflix film You.
