She is the youngest daughter of John and Margaret Vincie. Vincie's maternal grandmother Eleanor N. Logan was a fifth grade teacher while her grandfather was on the faculty of Bridgewater College. From a young age she was interested in journalism. Vincie was a graduate of Fauquier High School. Vincie participated in track and field competitions and was a manager for the school’s wrestling team for four seasons. She was the winner of the 800-meter event of the AAA Cedar Run District.
